I am interested in their [human] emotions and actions, as well as the context in which they develop.
In 2017 I created AULA, the first analogue laboratory and photography school in Cuenca, Ecuador. I am also the cofounder of FOTO-ALBUM, a platform for the promotion of photography in Ecuador.
I was 1 of 5 finalists for the Aperture Portfolio Prize 2018, I have been nominated to Joop Swart Masterclass 2018 and 2019 by World Press Photo. I was awarded the New Generation Prize of PHM in 2017, Pamapa Energia FOLA M4C and British Journal of Photography Portrait of Britain in 2016.
I was among the finalists for “PRIX LE BAL of Talents jeunes creation photographique 2013”. I was also selected for a residency at the Festival de Photographie de Deauville in 2013.
My work has been featured in various international festivals, including Copenhagen Photo Festival, SAN JOSÉ PHOTO in Uruguay, PA-TA-TA Festival in Spain and Encontros da Imagem in Portugal. In 2016 I self-published my first photobook, titled “Los mundos de TITA”, which was shortlisted for the Latin American Photobook Award in Mexico, Photobook Bristol in England, Belfast Photo Festival in Irlanda and the Kassel Dummy Award in Germany.
